Tanner Hance, a medically retired U.S. Army veteran, dedicated 12 years to his country, embarking on six valiant combat deployments. As a cherished husband and a devoted father of three, Tanner’s lived experiences illuminate the disparities in benefits available to Service Members, veterans, and First Responders. With unwavering resolve, he strives to forge a lasting legacy, tirelessly advocating for enhanced support and resources for the brave souls who safeguard our nation.

Jarrett Brownfield
Jarrett D. Brownfield, served as Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer within Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). He transitioned into investment banking, where he built a robust expertise in capital markets. At Bank of America, he specialized in structuring acquisition financings and originating leveraged buyouts, while at Rothschild & Co, he provided strategic guidance on complex private credit investments. Currently, as Chief Financial Officer of Lithium Battery Company (LBC), a leading U.S. manufacturer of custom lithium battery packs for energy storage, Jarrett drives financial strategy, evaluates investments, manages risks, and ensures compliance through robust internal controls to support innovation and growth.

Brian Weiss
In late 2023, through a mutual connection, Brian was introduced to Tanner and Jarrett, Brian joined them in forming the non-profit OWS, bringing his expertise in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and human resources. Previously, he was the Global Chief Compliance Officer at DBRS, Inc., where he developed a robust global compliance program. Brian holds a BS in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Outside of work, he enjoys vacationing with his wife and two children and appreciates a good bottle of wine. He is also a proud member of a family with service veterans.

Kelly Schei
Kelly embarks on her journey with the OWS team, bringing with her a wealth of experience accumulated over fifteen years in business ownership, predominantly within the mobility realm. Here, she collaborated intimately with foundations and innovations that empowered the veteran community—and beyond—by providing them with adaptive recreational equipment, restoring the freedom they so deserve. A proud partner to a retired Army veteran, Kelly embraces her role at OWS, eager to champion our nation's heroes in their daily endeavors. In the serene moments of her leisure, one may find Kelly reveling in the great outdoors alongside her husband and two spirited sons.

Stephen Ricciardi
Stephen Ricciardi is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and a former officer in the First Cavalry Division. Following his service and medical retirement from the U.S. Army, Stephen earned his MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and has begun working as an investment banker. He brings a deep passion for service and advocacy to the board, with a strong commitment to ensuring veterans and first responders receive the full spectrum of care they deserve. Stephen has also been actively involved in philanthropic efforts, having helped raise over $75,000 for pediatric oncology research.
